centrifugal pump through piping
A centrifugal pump is a device which uses the centrifugal force to push liquid creating a high velocity at the discharge. The rotating vanes move in circular paths, imparting an outward radial force to the liquid which is coming in from the center (the eye) of the pump impeller. The high velocity results in incresing the dynamic prssure of the liquid. This liquid then passes through a separate diffuser or a volute shaped casing which itself acts as a diffuser. Centrifugal pumps are commonly used to move liquids through piping.
