Self-priming centrifugal pump basic structure is composed by six parts, are respectively body, impeller, pump shaft, bearing, sealing ring, stuffing box.
1、 the impeller is the core part of self-priming centrifugal pump, its great strength, speed higher, impeller blade plays a leading role, impeller before assembly need to through static balance experiments. Impeller internal and external surfaces required smooth, in order to reduce the flow friction losses.
2、 the pump body is also called pump shell, it is the pump main body. Play support fixed effect, and installation bearing bracket connections.
3、 the role of pump shaft is taking coupling and motor connection, put motor torque to impeller, so it is transfer mechanical major components.
4 bearing is set in the pump shaft support pump shaft component, rolling bearing and sliding bearing two kinds. Rolling bearings use butter as lubricant refueling appropriate to general 2/3～3/4 volume, too little and too much heat! Sliding bearing used as lubricant is transparent oil, refuels to oil level line. Too much oil should be along the pump shaft oozy and bleaching base, too little bearing again want overheat burned-out cause an accident! The water pump operation process of the highest temperature bearing in 85 degrees, general running at about 60 degrees, if higher, you will find the reason (whether have impurities, oily whether black, whether inflow) and deal in time!
5 sealing rings, said as reducing leakage ring. Gap between impeller inlet and pump impeller shell will cause water of pump high-pressure zone flow to the low pressure area through the clearance, influence pump water yield, low efficiency! Too small clearance caused friction wear. In order to reduce leakage resistance increased reflow, delay the impeller and pump shell service life, in the pump casing inner and impeller outside joint has sealing ring, sealing gaps remain between 0.25 ~ 1.10 mm is advisable.
6 stuffing box mainly by packing, water sealing ring, stuffing canister, packing gland, water pipe composition. The role of the stuffing box is mainly to closed the space between the pump shaft and pump shell, not let the pump water inside not to flow to the outside to also don't let the outside air into the inside pump. Always keep the pump vacuum inside! When the pump shaft and packing friction produced heat, need to be cooled by water sealing pipe to water sealing ring packing! Keep water pump in normal operation. So in the process of water pump operation and inspection, need to pay special attention to the stuffing box examination! Running almost 600 hours, we need to replace the packing.
